Sun Orchard Fruit Company has recently announced plans for a new, state of the art pre-size facility to be built at their Burt, NY location. The 37,000 sq. ft. facility will house a MAF Industries pre-size line. The line features a four-lane electronic weight sizer and a digital color sorter, with capabilities for electronic defect and condition sorting in the future.

The MAF line also consists of a robotic handling system as well as the most technologically advanced hydro bin-filler on the market. This MAF system will be able to gently pre-size up to 30 bins of apples per hour.
